SYNNEX K.K. was founded in 1995 as an overseas arm of U.S.-based SYNNEX Corporation, which was founded in 1980 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the code “SNX.” We have earned the trust of more than 50 of the world’s leading vendors as an official distributor of their CPU, OS, HDD, VGA card, motherboard, memory and other computer-related products in Japan. Today, we have grown into one of the biggest general trading companies of computer parts in Japan and provide our customers with the world’s most cutting-edge products.

Distribution

We continue to provide dynamic services and set global standards as the No. 1 distributor in the industry.

As the No. 1 distributor in the industry, SYNNEX has a current line card of roughly 2,000 items from approximately 70 different computer-related product categories and has been a leader to offer distribution services that set global standards. We have established our own unique supply chain management (SCM) model which allows us to shorten the time between order acceptance and shipping and offer low-cost, quick delivery of the latest products.

In 1999 we were the first in the industry to develop a B-to-B web system that allows real time access and visibility to checking inventory, price and product specifications to manage product orders, repairs and replacements. The following year we established our unique “manulogistics” business model. This business model integrates manufacturing and logistics and is made possible by our consistent SCM model from system design to delivery. We have overcome the challenges faced by the industry and today we can provide our customers a combination of fast turn around time with high-quality services, which only SYNNEX can offer.

Promotion

As a general distributor, we provide our customers with high value-added services.

Because SYNNEX has established strong relationships with manufacturers, they share with us product information such as product roadmaps, and we engage in promotional activities such as joint events, storefront promotions, product seminars and sales floor maintenance. Making use of the strong ties we have developed with contacts in the media industry over the years, we are also actively engaged in publicity events to raise awareness of new products and promotions and are always among the first to introduce the latest technology from around the world into the Japanese market. We take the feedback from real users received through these marketing activities back to the product development teams and provide all-around support to our customers’ businesses as a link between manufacturers and users.

PC Solution

We provide all-around support to address diversifying customer needs with a wide lineup of products and flexible computer solutions.

Another business that makes full use of SYNNEX’s expertise is our configure-to-order (CTO) system solution business. Leveraging our entire inventory of more than 20,000 items, we provide OEM manufacturers and system integrators with total solutions that cover everything from planning to manufacturing of a wide range of products including personal computers, servers, storage devices and industrial computers. In-house engineers have been assigned to handle everything from product configuration to assembly and inspection in our CTO business so that we can offer flexible support in terms of the speed and cost of development. We also provide support for additions, modifications and repairs after the products are delivered as well as the necessary information to ensure product traceability and continuous quality control. As an outsourcing partner we promise to provide secure and reliable services from parts procurement to design, production and technical support.
